How to find the type and size of a VELUX® window

If you are replacing an old VELUX® window, the metal data plate located on the top edge of the sash, behind the ventilation flap, shows the window code indicating the type and size of the window.

The first letters of the code (e.g. GGL, GGU, or GPL) indicate the window model and operation style either centre pivot or top hung.

The numbers that follow or a letter and number combination, for example 304, M04 or MK08, define the exact dimensions of your window.

At Swindon Roof Windows we are a VELUX® Certified Installer and understand roof structures as well as all types and sizes of roof windows so you can be assured we will provide a professional VELUX® window installation or replacement service.

We will be more than happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
